JRMA Youth Category
Registration Information | Competition Regulations | Online Registration | Judging
JRMA Youth Category Background In 2007 the Youth Category of the Jack Richardson
Music Awards was changed from a ballot nomination and voting system to a competition of artists/bands from the
London Secondary School systems. In 2009, we expanded the competition to all Thames Valley District Secondary
Schools or London District Catholic Secondary Schools. We have consistently had between eight to ten bands
compete annually! We hope to increase the participation to fifteen bands/artists. A panel of industry judges
picked the top three bands and they are invited the following evening to attend the JRMA Show, so they will be
present when the winner is announced. In 2007, the winners were Exes and Eyes from A.B. Lucas
High School, the 2008 winners were Say Domino from Mother Teresa S. S., and last year
the 2009 winners were FO from John Paul II.
